Unlocking the Old Testament - Elmer A. Martens, Ph.D.
This is a ten part audio/video lecture series on Old Testament theology. The presentations are based on Dr. Martens' book, God's Design: A Focus on Old Testament Theology (1981; 3rd edition, Bibal Press, 1998) . Four themes -- deliverance, covenant, experiencing God, and land -- are traced through three of Israel's historical eras: pre-monarchy, monarchy, and post-monarchy. The text of Exodus 5:22-6:8 is taken as a starting point. An extended analysis of the themes mentioned there takes the listener/viewer into the vast reaches of the Old Testament's theological content. Not only is there a sorting out of issues, but the process in the end "puts it all together."
