Tuning Week 6

Accept forgiveness

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of Gods grace.” Eph 1: 7

“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Col 1:13-14

Meditation

Can I look into my life and say: I am forgiven?

Can I accept that all my sins are taken off my record if God declares them forgiven?

What if others may not forgive me? Does that make me doubt God’s forgiveness?

Can I thank God for his forgiveness, even if failures are visible? Even if things go wrong and pain is present due to my shortcomings?

Is there a call I’m not responding to since I feel I’m not accepted, good enough, and spiritual enough?

Prayer

  • Pray that we (you and me) don’t carry guilt but accept forgiveness and act according to God’s grace.
  • Pray that we wholeheartedly can believe that God’s disposition to forgive and redeem is the same if I know about one sin or thousand, did it once, or have repeated it for years.
  • Pray that we wholeheartedly believe that God calls his sons and daughters to worship and serve him in his Kingdom despite all the weaknesses and shortcomings we may recognize.
  • Pray that in our Despertar 22 gathering, God will help us recognize the seriousness and destructiveness of sin and the unconditional love of God, and the healing power of God’s forgiveness; that this may lead us to worship God together and expose our hearts to the work of the Holy Spirit.
  • Pray that all participants of Despertar 22 can wholeheartedly accept God’s forgiveness, recognize God’s love and respond to God’s call.
  • Keep praying for the situation in Ukraine: For a lasting cease of fire, for Ukrainians in suffering, for all who are helping in this situation.
